Working
Your Horse...
At High Ridge Stables we believe in "working a few horses well".
We purposely limit our training barn capacity to five horses in order to
insure that your horse gets the maximum attention to his training needs
and that we meet your objectives. Because of our focus on good care
and instruction for your horse, we do not hire outside barn help. All of
your horse's daily training and maintenance needs are taken care of by
owner and trainer, Stan Estes and assistant trainer, Kathy Fisher. We
insure that during your horses stay at High Ridge Stables, it will be in
the hands of a professional horseman at all times. It is our goal to
insure the very best training and care for your horse.
Feed
and Care...
We believe our feeding program is second to none at High Ridge Stables
and our horses show the results. Our feed program is individualized to
meet the needs of each horse in our barn. Our hay is shipped from northern
New Mexico and we use only the highest quality bag feeds and supplements.
Our stalls are completely stripped each day and bedded with fresh
shavings. We believe in having a clean environment for your horse and for
us as well. And flies are never a problem. During the warm months of the
year our office doors stand open 16 hours a day with no fly problem
whatsoever.

Transportation
and follow up...
We are available to transport your horse (even a tough loader) to and
from the stables. We also offer local transportation services for horses
not requiring training. Call for a specific quote for the trailering of
your horse.
Our work with your horse often has a lot to do with confidence building
in the horse and the owner. We make it a point to work with the owner and
their horse before they leave. By teaching the owner some exercises they
can do themselves with the horse, we can further insure the success of the
training once the horse has gone home.
Requirements...
We require that all horses are up to date on all vaccinations and a
current negative Coggins test. These procedures insure that every horse
in our barn is protected from infectious diseases and that training can
continue without interruption from illness. We will utilize the services
of your veterinarian (as well as your farrier) here at High Ridge
Stables. We take pride in our good relationship with other professionals
in the equine industry and most all of the vets and farriers in our area
recommend our work.
